Frequently asked questions

Getting started

How does a video consult work?

You book a time, then join a secure video call with a qualified Australian practitioner from your phone or computer. You and the practitioner talk in real time. If a script or referral is right for you, the practitioner will sort it after your consult.

How quickly can I be seen?

Appointment availability depends on the type of care you need. You will see the expected timing before you book. It depends on practitioner availability and the type of care you need.

Do I need a referral to book?

No. You can book directly. If your care needs a specialist, your practitioner can arrange a referral for you.

What do I need for my appointment?

A quiet, private space, a stable internet connection, and details of your medical history or current medications if relevant.

Will I speak with a practitioner directly?

Yes. A real-time video consultation with a qualified Australian practitioner is part of every appointment. Every appointment is a real-time video consultation with a qualified Australian practitioner.

What we help with

What can you help with?

How does the consultation work?

Your practitioner assesses your situation and explains what options may be appropriate for you.

What can I expect from my consultation?

Your practitioner listens, assesses your situation, and explains what options may be appropriate for you.

Is a prescription guaranteed?

No. A real-time consultation comes first. A practitioner reviews your history and your goals, then prescribes only if deemed medically appropriate and safe for you. A prescription is never guaranteed.

Can any medication be prescribed by telehealth?

No. Some medicines cannot be prescribed online. Your practitioner will tell you honestly if you need to be seen in person, and help you find the right next step.

Will it work for me?

We cannot promise an outcome, and we will not. We assess you properly, explain your options plainly, and review how you are going. Individual results vary based on your circumstances.
